What are the style codes and what do they mean?

Devilish Angel again taps into the world of 2D fashion to bring in the idea of style codes.  Style codes are a way to easily sort clothes into different groups according to general style principles.  They’re not laws or rules, but are a helpful way to organize ideas about fashion, especially for beginners.

Currently, Devilish Angel employs four style codes for its fashions: Cute, Pop, Cool, and Sexy.  These are broad categories that encompass the most general impression of a style.

Code: Cute

Code: Cute items are just that.  They’re cute!  Often employing pastel or jewel tone color palettes, cute items often feature sweet themes like cuddly animals, delicious cakes, fairy tales, princesses, and toys.    Code: Cute likes ruffles, lace, fluffy things, tasty treats, stars, moons, and unicorns.  Make the world into the dreamy cute paradise you wish for!

Code: Pop

Code: Pop items often feature bright and saturated colors to invoke a feeling of happiness or energy.   Express your individuality and paint the world with your own rainbows!  Code: Pop may also sometimes employ slightly more challenging and punky subjects than code: cute.

Code: Cool

Code: Cool items can be anything from beautiful gothic dresses to devil-may-care punk and rocker outfits.  The feeling that ties Code: Cool items together is that they’re the kind of things that make your heart race: elegant, beautiful, aggressive, thrilling.  Code: Cool items can have challenging themes that express rebellious ideas, or simply explore the darker parts of the psyche.  Let the world know exactly who you are, and never apologize for it.

Code: Sexy

Code: Sexy items are gorgeous, and make you feel modern and mature, like a beautiful fashion model.  Often including hip and bohemian items, as well as mod styles, bodycon cuts, classy heels, and beautiful makeup.  Code: Sexy is about being the you that you aspire to be, not the you that other people demand of you.

Can I wear items from different style codes together?

Absolutely, and you should!  The style codes aren’t there to tell you how to be.  They’re there to give you an organizational tool and inspire you!  Be the self you want to be.  That’s what being a Devilish Angel is all about.
